AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY's 2010 MUSEUM GALA was held on Thursday, November 18th and featured a performance by none other than ELTON JOHN. A much-anticipated highlight of the fall season, the Museum Gala is the American Museum of Natural History’s largest annual benefit. This year's event included a dinner and Elton John performing a selection of hits including “Your Song,” “Rocket Man,” “Benny and the Jets,” and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” plus a song from his new album with Leon Russell, “You’re Never Too Old (To Hold Somebody).” He received seven standing ovations from the crowd at the Museum.
Elton John, one of few men alive who seem deserving of seven standing ovations!
Over 650 guests attended the benefit, including Anne Hathaway, Alec Baldwin, Meg Ryan, John McEnroe, Jimmy Fallon, Jason Sudeikis and many more.
