On Thursday, December 9th, was the event: A PERLA JEAN PAUL GAULTIER Collection Createur Presentation. Italian luxury lingerie company La Perla hosted a cocktail party to present the Jean Paul Gaultier Collection Createur for the first time in the United States at their New York City Flagship boutique located at 803 Madison Avenue.

La Perla and sponsor Sentient Jet hosted the presentation to premiere the exclusive Designer Collection. Gaultier’s designs for La Perla capture the true femininity, yet seductiveness of La Perla, and celebrates the beauty of the female body. The line features waist-cinching corsets, slips, extra high briefs and bustiers, in black and pale pink with accents of coral and teal. The line also features pieces reminiscent of Gaultier’s designs for Madonna, specifically her famous pointed bra cups from the 1990 Blond Ambition

On Thursday, December 9th, Time Warner Cable Celebrated The Launch of New SignatureHome Suite of Services.  Stars from Time Warner Cable’s most beloved shows and networks came together to help celebrate the launch.  Time Warner Cable invited VIPs into their home, a three story townhouse in NYC’s NoHo, for an invite-only, red carpet event to celebrate the launch of SignatureHome. From Whole House DVR to their exclusive Look Back feature, Time Warner Cable utilized each room of the home to bring to life the new suite of services that can help improve the lifestyle of modern families, by demonstrating the connection between the cable provider and the content customers value most.

On Wednesday, December 8th, there was a fabulous Celebration for Claude Lalanne. It was an evening celebrating the famed artist Claude Lalanne and her latest project, a gilt bronze sculpted vessel that houses a custom-created scented candle by Quintessence.  The intimate gathering at the Art Deco gallery, Maison Gerard Ltd., was hosted by the gallery owners, Gerard Widdershovern and Benoist Drut and Valentine and Sadrine Pozzo Di Borgo of Quintessence, Paris.

On Tuesday, December 7th, MARIO BATALI Launched Culinary Council with FOOD BANK for NEW YORK and Culinary Icons to End Hunger in NYC.  The Food Bank For New York City, Culinary Council Chair Mario Batali, and other culinary luminaries gathered for an exclusive event — Eat•Celebrate•Support — atop the Empire State Building.  Guests Mingled with distinguished chefs, restaurateurs and culinary icons including Anthony Bourdain, Michael Stipe, Ted Allen, Andrew Carmellini, Brad Farmerie and many more. Earlier in the day, Food Bank board members, Mario Batali and Stanley Tucci, 'flipped the switch' in the lobby of the Empire State Building during a symbolic lighting of the of the Tower to focus attention on the 3.3 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put food on the table. You didn't have to imagine all the people descending on Strawberry Fields in Central Park on Wednesday, December 8th, 2010.  That date marks the 30th anniversary of that terrible day when one of our greatest artists was taken from us.  Though some understandably still focused on the tragedy of it, many more joined together in peaceful union with one another and celebrated the life and art of a true visionary.

On Monday, December 6th, was the DOUGLAS HANNANT HOLIDAY CELEBRATION.  Douglas Hannant celebrated the holidays with a cocktail party at his Plaza boutique.  At this lovely holiday soiree, he introduced a fine jewelry collection Douglas Hannant by Grace Fine Design.

On Monday, December 6th, DIFFA'S BE PRESENT Live Auction was held, Hosted By Tracy Reese & Geoffrey Zakarian. The BE PRESENT auction, by DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, brought together celebrated figures in the worlds of fashion, design, art, entertainment and hospitality to offer coveted packages of once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Sotheby’s New York conducted the live auction from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. where auction participants, including co-hosts Tracy Reese and Geoffrey Zakarian, as well as architect David Rockwell and designers Isabel and Ruben Toledo, were on stage to present their “presents.” There was also an exclusive cocktail party at Sotheby’s from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. before the live auction began.

On Monday, December 6th, GLOBAL GREEN USA Held its 11th Annual Sustainable Design Award.  The awards were emceed by Good Morning America's Sam Champion and presenters included Edward Norton, Adrian Grenier and Kelly Rutherford.  The year's Sustainable Design Awards went to Arianna Huffington, eBay Inc., the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, Wade Greene and Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols.

Global Green USA is an innovative national environmental organization working to stem global climate change by creating energy-efficient green homes, schools, communities and cities.

On Saturday, December 4th, PUBLICOLOR'S Top Coat + Primer Painting Party '10 was held.  Alongside Publicolor students, the day began by transforming the dreary walls of a public school with vibrant colors.  There were plenty of activities for young children as well, such as splatter painting and face painting.  Over 200 guests showed up this year, beating both this year's goal and last year's numbers.  There were five board members, founder Ruth Lande Shuman and one school principal, Paul Rotando painting alongside the volunteers, their children and the students in the Publicolor program.

Publicolor was founded 15 years ago by Ruth Lande Shuman.  Top Coat is a committee of young professionals dedicated to supporting Publicolor’s continuum of youth development programs.

Immediately following the painting, they hosted an old-fashioned high school hop in the school cafeteria for music, cocktails, and dancing.

On Friday, December 3rd, Bruce Weber, Nan Bush and Victor Alfaro Hosted a Dinner Poolside Celebration which was in Honor of the Opening of John DeLucie's New Restaurant The Royal at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami with 30 fabulous guests during Art Basel. Guests dined on John DeLucie's menu of tuna tartare, beef carpaccio, chicken with crisp pancetta, local grouper, and NY dry aged strip steak.  For dessert guests were treated to the mille crepe cake, fromage blanc cheescake and the cinnamon roasted seckel pear served with pumpkin bread and salted caramel ice cream.

On Thursday, December 2nd, was the MACKAGE Soho Store Opening.  Celebrity host and DJ Alexandra Richards, Rock Legend Gene Simmons and Mackage designers and co-founders Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy celebrated the opening of Mackage's first U.S. flagship store in NYC.  Guests enjoyed music and cocktails sponsored by Belvedere Vodka, as well as a first look at the exclusive New York Collection of shearling jackets and mink accessories.

On Thursday, December 2nd, Vanessa Noel and Susan Rockefeller Hosted a Holiday Party for OCEAN.  The event featured an introduction of Oceana’s work by Bettina Alonso, Oceana’s Vice President of Global Development, and a silent auction with one-of-a-kind items.

On Thursday, December 2nd, ACRIA's Unframed Miami with MAXALTO was celebrated.  ACRIA’s first-ever Art Basel Miami Beach event was presented by MAXALTO. Unframed Miami featured works for sale by leading artists including Donald Baechler, Ross Bleckner, Dan Colen, Jill Greenberg, Chris Jordan, Steven Klein, Terence Koh, Julian Schnabel, Fred Tomaselli, and many more. At the event ACRIA unveiled a new, limited- edition benefit print by Deborah Kass. Additionally, the evening featured the auction of a MAXALTO “Simplice” table, customized by Angel Otero.

On Thursday, December 2nd, the “I LOVE ITALIAN SHOES” Project Celebrated its New York Edition with a Private Cocktail and Preview of the Fall 2011 Season at the New York Public Library. On December 1st, 2010, the Opening Night Party For PRIESTS By SANTE D'ORAZIO was held.  Delano and  Milk Gallery Project hosted the Art Basel Opening Night Celebration with "Priests" a photography exhibition by internationally renowned photogrpher, Sante D'Orazio. 

Known for his scandalous, trademark style D’Orazio’s “Priests” exhibition captures the most influential artists of our time in a religious setting.  Dressed as modern-day priests the participating artists include: Damien Hirst, Ed Ruscha, Matthew Barney, Jeff Koons, Alex Katz, Maurizio Cattelan, Francesco Clemente, Nobuyoshi Araki and Sante D’Orazio.

After Wednesday’s opening night reception the exhibition will be open to guests in Delano’s lobby for the remainder of Art Basel.

On December 1st, 2010, NYC & Company’s nonprofit cultural tourism charity, the NYC & Company Foundation, honored some of the top names in fashion at its 10th annual fund-raising event NYC & COMPANY FOUNDATION'S 2010 Leadership Awards Gala at the Plaza Hotel.  The Leadership Awards Gala--hosted by the evening's Honorary Chairman Mayor Bloomberg, NYC & Company Chairman Emily Rafferty and NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta--recognized Terry Lundgren, chairman, president and CEO of Macy’s, Inc., designer Diane von Furstenberg, president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA); and Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue, as distinguished leaders of the fashion and retail industries and contributors to the vibrancy of New York City's arts and cultural communities.

On November 30th, 2010, Escada and Vogue held the benefit for The Joyful Heart Foundation with Jennifer Creel and Amanda Ross at the Bunker Club.  Ross styled ESCADA’s Resort 2011 collection on live models and thus this innovative benefit allowed guests to  experience the collection in a unique and external setting.  Along with food and cocktails, DJ Jeffrey Tonneson spun moody remixes of familiar tracks.  It was a fun and fashionable evening.

On Monday, November 22nd, Lighthouse International's 2010 Annual LightYears Gala Saluted the Art of Film and Honored Robert Osborne (host of Turner Classic Movies), Charles S. Cohen (President/CEO of Cohen Bros. Reality Corporation), as well as philanthropists Clo Cohen, Dr. Madeleine Sherak and Tom Sherak.  Proceeds from the event benefitted Lighthouse International's mission to fight vision loss through prevention, treatment and empowerment.

On Thursday, November 18th, the 13th Annual Collaborating For a Cure Dinner and Auction was held.  With a sold-out crowd of nearly 1,400 guests, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) celebrated the 13th Annual Collaborating For a Cure Dinner and Auction, headlined by Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow at the New York City landmark Park Avenue Armory.

The evening’s live and silent auctions offered guests the opportunity to bid on a selection of exciting items, including a Seven-Night-Stay for up to 10 guests in the Ian Fleming Villa at the Goldeneye Resort via Private Jet Service, which garnered the highest bid of the evening with $100,000.

It was a great night for Sheryl Crow fans, an even greater for the auction winners and absolutely the greatest night for the search for a cure.

On Thursday, November 18th, The METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART Hosted its APOLLO CIRCLE BENEFIT sponsored by Carolina Herrera.  The event took place in the shadows of the Temple of Dendur in the Sackler Wing of the Museum.  The benefit's theme--Return to Paradise--was all about finding inspiration in the works from the Met's collection of 18th-century paintings of Indian palace life.  The event benefited  the Metropolitan's Fund for Art Conservation.  Paul Sevigny provided the night's music, and there was plenty of dancing, cocktails and sweet and savory sweets all in one of the greatest, and most artful, locations in the world.

On Thursday, November 18th, The New York Society For The Prevention of Cruelty To Children Held its 2010 Gala.  The NYSPCC, the world’s first child protection agency, honored Vice Chairman of Lazard, Steven J. Golub and Emmy-award winning journalist and Dateline NBC correspondent, Chris Hansen with the Strength of Our Society Award at its 2010 Gala on November 18 at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.  The event was hosted by journalist Deborah Norville and included a special performance by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sophie B.
